KyCPACareers.com, a job portal for Accounting/Finance jobs only, was developed by the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants (KyCPA)) in conjunction with MyCareerNetwork.com specifically for KyCPA members to post all of their accounting and finance related careers.
KyCPACareers.com is an integral part of KyCPA’s workforce initiatives, providing a single website for members to widely publicize the numerous job opportunities that historically have been contained within a narrow network of accounting/finance professionals. Going forward, KyCPACareers.com will greatly enhance and help to facilitate the process of bringing job seekers and employers together for a mutual benefit.
Ultimately, this site will become regarded by both job seekers and employers, as the first and only place to search for top job openings and quality talent. Overtime, as positions are filled, careers are discovered, and employers thrive; then this site will have come full circle by providing a means for KyCPA members and the industries they support to find quality people right here in Kentucky that want to stay and work, thereby enabling the accounting/finance segment of our economy to grow and thrive. A specialty job portal, only for accounting and finance related careers that was designed to pull job seekers to one easy-to-access location where numerous attractive accounting/finance opportunities are posted.
Getting started … the portal is free to all job seekers.
Simply click on register to become a job seeking member of the site. Once registered, seekers can use the Job Search tool to locate and submit resumes for full time, part time and/or co-op/intern positions. Also, job seekers can create a professional profile, which provides them continuous notification about future relevant career opportunities.
How does an Employer Post jobs to the site?
As a benefit of being a KyCPA member, organizations have the opportunity to post their job openings to the site directly from their own website, through a special software package offered by MyCareerNetwork.com. Once the jobs are posted to KyCPACareers.com, they are automatically populated (posted) on the other regional job portals that MyCareerNetwork.com (MCN) operates, as well as with other job posting sites that have partnered with MCN.
Jobs advertised on the site are linked directly back to the employers website, which allows job seekers to quickly and effortlessly learn about the job, the opportunity and the company itself.
From here, a job seeker can submit online by either uploading a resume or building one online. When a resume has been submitted, the employer automatically receives it and an electronic notice is sent to the job seeker stating that his/her resume has been received.
Why do KyCPA Members need a specialty job posting site?
As mentioned, KyCPACareers.com will feature only accounting/finance related careers, which will serve to assist KyCPA Members to solve one of the biggest issues they currently experience – finding enough qualified individuals to fill all the open positions. Secondly, considerable research suggests that fewer than 25% of all job opportunities are ever advertised within the open market. That means the remaining 75% - the hidden opportunities - are often overlooked by the job seeker who is unaware of their existence and the techniques for accessing them.
